The Adventures of Prince Achmed

This year marks the 100th anniversary of this film created by using the unique technique of shadow theatre. This work by the German director Lotte Reiniger tells the fairy-tale story of a prince who falls in love. However, his beloved is soon kidnapped by an evil sorcerer, and Prince Achmed sets off on a journey full of adventure. On his journey, he must face many evil magical creatures, but at the same time he can rely on the help of kind magical beings.
