Since 2006, the DAS FILMFEST German-language film festival has been opening the festival season every October with the most recent films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland – be it high-quality mainstream, documentaries or movies that have been successful at international film festivals. The audience is introduced to films that would otherwise find it difficult to make their way into local cinemas. Inspiring meetings of the audience with representatives of European cinema are also part of DFF.
