Ukraine is Queer vol. 5

For the fifth year, Mezipatra presents a selection of Ukrainian short films as an expression of our continuous solidarity with Ukraine and a spotlight on the country’s queer artists. This year’s programme moves between the present and centuries past: from a documentary about an openly gay soldier and his partner, a meta-story about a young director’s first film and an account of life in a refugee camp, to a sapphic tale from the early 20th century and a sensory, erotically charged reimagining of the legend of Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
