Get a closer look at the early history of cinema! As an accompanying programme to the fascinating documentary about the work of the Lumière brothers, enjoy a walk to get to know the oldest cinemas in Prague.
Along the way, you will learn about the stories of the Ponrepo, Lucerna, Světozor and the now defunct Koruna cinemas... and we'll round it all off in the modern Edison Filmhub space with a screening of Lumière! The Adventure Continues by director, film historian and IFF Canes director Thierry Frémaux.
In the film, you will see more than 100 flawlessly restored films made by the Lumières, through which Frémaux brilliantly outlines the background of the very beginnings of cinema.
Please note that the walk will only be guided in Czech, but the screening will feature English subtitles.
