THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE AND FOREIGN PASSPORT (2025, dir. Eyal Sgerski)
In a not too far dystopian future, a couple is trying to obtain a foreign passport in order to leave Israel. It turns out that the price of emigrating will force them to make dramatic choices.
VIVID SHLOMIT (2025, dir. Hila Paz)
45-year-old Shlomit lives on an isolated farm in the desert. She is a farmer and a mother, raising her five children like wild grass, while her husband Danny has been away at war for many months. She is handling all frontlines: the fields, the house, and the void. Through simple routines and the daily rhythm of work, Shlomit discovers the strength to keep moving forward, to keep living.
TEMPORARY IDENTITY (2024, dir. Roni Levin, Michael Anug)
What does it mean to belong to a place, a country? In a south Tel Aviv elementary school, that question is addressed head-on by a fourth-grade class and their teacher. The children are asylum seekers whose families mostly do not have a legal status in Israel, yet learn, sing and play in Hebrew all the while examining their identity and sense of belonging.
