The film explores the changing dynamics of public space in big cities and shows how art can inspire people to re-appropriate and re-shape their surroundings. Through three art events and one performative lecture, URBAN DISOBEDIENCE TOOLKIT illustrates ways to "take back the city." The artistic interventions are vividly interwoven in the film under the directorial baton of Vladimír Turner, who himself has been making art in public space for nearly two decades. The title of the film, URBAN DISOBEDIENCE TOOLKIT, refers to the fact that every action in the film shows the avant-garde potential of art. One that is not a decoration, but a radical intervention and a driving force fighting against a conservative technocratic perception of the world.
