Seventeen-year-old Klára and her younger brother Teo live in a bilingual family, though their parents, David and Laura, recently separated. David decides to take the children to the Adriatic to work on their relationship. What appears to be an attempt at a family idyll gradually reveals deeper problems—especially for Klára, who is struggling with an eating disorder. Tension mounts when a local young man, Denis, enters her life. Unexpected circumstances escalate the situation, leading to a premature return home and Klára’s hospitalisation. Saving Klára’s life is the only thing keeping her parents together. And desperate times call for desperate measures.
