U Are the Universe

In the near future, gruff space worker Andriy Meľnyk spends his days transporting nuclear waste to one of Jupiter’s moons, accompanied only by the ship’s computer, Maxim. His monotonous routine is shattered by the mysterious destruction of Earth, leaving him to confront the sudden, terrifying reality that he may be the very last survivor. Just as despair threatens to overwhelm him, a signal breaks through – Catherine, a French scientist aboard a space station. Determined to meet her at any cost, Andriy embarks on a journey driven by hope and longing. Ukrainian director Pavlo Ostrikov’s intimate romantic drama is both suspenseful and deeply moving, recalling at its best the spirit of the cult classic HER.
