An intimate semi-biographical portrait of Palestinians living in their homeland between 1948 up until the early 2000s, from acclaimed director Elia Suleiman (DIVINE INTERVENTION, IT MUST BE HEAVEN). The film covers four periods in the history of the director’s family and is inspired by his father's private diaries, starting from when he was a resistance fighter in 1948, and his mother's letters to family members who were forced to leave the country. Combined with intimate memories, the film portrays the daily life of those Palestinians who remained and were labeled 'Israeli-Arabs', living as a minority in their own country.
