Far, far away, in a small Icelandic town, a family of five and their sheepdog are enjoying a late dinner. They look happy and content, sheltered from the dangers of the outside world. The mother, a talented artist, is preparing her most ambitious work. The father earns a living on a fishing boat. The teenage children are lucky enough to live in perfect harmony with nature. In this film, there are no right-wing extremists, nor any murderers. Just ordinary people with ordinary feelings and problems. You’ll see simple little things like: hikes, bathing the dog, snow, food, frozen fish, rubber boots, the seasons, orcas, summer dresses. Humor, sex... or the lack thereof. Simply things that really matter. But beneath it all lies something we don’t understand. Something ancient, animalistic. The film is called THE LOVE THAT REMAINS. Check it out. But feel free to go see something else. That’s fine.
