The Blue Angel

The pedantic high school teacher Professor Immanuel Rath is shocked. Instead of lying in bed at night, his students hang out at the nightclub ""Der blaue Engel"". In order to catch them in the act, Immanuel follows them to the dubious establishment, where he meets the singer Lola Lola and falls for her charm. When his nocturnal adventure is discovered and he confesses to Lola, he is dismissed. He asks for her hand in marriage and accompanies her on her tour. But while Lola rises to become a respected artist over the years, the once respected professor develops into a pathetic clown.
