Iranian judo player Leila (Arienne Mandi) and her coach Maryam (Zar Amir) arrive at the World Judo Championships in Tbilisi determined to win Iran's first gold medal. However, during the championships, an ultimatum comes from the highest levels of the Islamic Republic: Leila must fake an injury and lose or she will be branded a traitor to the nation. With her freedom and that of her family at stake, Leila is faced with the decision of a lifetime – should she submit to the Iranian regime, as her coach is also urging her to do, or keep fighting for the gold.
