The mastermind behind a ubiquitous spy operation learns of a dangerous romance between a Russian lady in his employ and a dashing agent from the government's secret service.
Agent 326 (Willy Fritsch) is tasked with destroying a network of spies, but one of them is Sonja Baranilk (Gerda Maurus), with whom he falls in love. 326 tries to find out who is the head of the whole organization. Little does he know that it's banker Haghi (Rudolf Klein-Rogge), whom Sonja bets that 326 will expose – so Haghi uses all means to deceive the Secret Service and eliminate agent 326...
