One summer day, 17-year-old Simon skips gym class and finds himself on the bank of a nearby river with a group of teenagers. Time passes as slowly as the calm water in the river, spent between inflatable mattresses and aimless chatter. The afternoon seems endless, the perception of time begins to blur and becomes less and less clear. Only when Marie appears and the two are catapulted together into a nearby forest by an unexpected event and torn from their lethargy do they enter the timeless realm of an enchanting landscape.
