Synopsis: In 1993, the artist Peter Apelgren purchases a box of used cassette tapes at a jumble sale in Gothenburg. The tapes turn out to contain voice recordings from a man's solo travels in the 1970s and 1980s. Starting in 1994, the radio presenter Stefan Livh and journalist Tomas Tengby broadcast a selection of the recordings on the radio show “Morgonpasset” on Sveriges Radio P3, under the title “En svensk man på resa” (A Swedish man on a journey), asking: Who is the man on tape? Despite repeated appeals, the man remains anonymous until 2021, when journalist Peter Gropman manages to reveal the man's identity.
