Princess Mononoke

The narrative follows the conflict between the girl San, raised by wolves, and the ruler of the Iron City, Lady Eboshi, who destroys the adjacent forest in order to provide sustenance for her subjects. Into this feud enters Prince Ashitaka, stricken by the deadly curse of anger. It leads him to the forest where San lives. The young man attempts to bring the two sides to reconciliation, but can this ever be achieved? Hayao Miyazaki's underwhelmingly spectacular film, now considered one of the masterpieces of Japanese cinema and beyond, is about the need not to be taken in by anger and blindness.
