Star actor Garry Essendine is preparing to embark on an overseas tour, but his colourful life is spiralling out of control. As several relationships compete for his attention, Garry faces an escalating identity crisis and spends his last days at home in a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic and self-discovery.
Written in 1939 by renowned playwright, composer, singer and actor Noël Coward, this euphoric and surprisingly modern reflection on fame, desire and loneliness sees star actor Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Ripley) in the lead role, as well as Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) and Enzo Cilenti (High Rise, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell). Directed by the Old Vic's Artistic Director Matthew Warchus, the show is captured live from the stage of the Old Vic, London and presented from a recording.
