My Thoughts Are Silent

Vadym is a young sound engineer from Kyiv who dreams of emigrating to Canada and making a fresh start far from his current life. When he accepts a job recording animal sounds in the Ukrainian Carpathians, it seems his dream might finally come true. He sets out on the journey with his mother, Halya, an energetic taxi driver from Uzhhorod, who enjoys spending time with her son much more than he does. While Vadym focuses on his work and his future abroad, Halya tries to understand why her son wants to leave home and his own country. A tragicomic road movie about the silence between people, the generation gap, and the search for a place where one truly belongs.
