KINOWAR2025: Us, Our Pets and the War (+ short film)

US, OUR PETS AND THE WAR is a film about life and humanity as well as an incredibly close connection between people and animals, which even more strongly was highlighted by the war in Ukraine.

The main characters of the film are not only cats, dogs, bears, lions, lemurs and the Yemeni chameleon "Igoryok", but also people who rescue them, risking their own lives. These are the stories of soldiers and volunteers, foreigners and Ukrainians, who help animals in bomb shelters and on the front line, at home and abroad. But the most interesting thing can be seen in this story? When it seemed that we were saving the animals, in reality, it was the animals that saved us.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Kinovarta with support of Prague cinemas and associations are organising a benefit screening of contemporary Ukrainian films in Prague. All proceeds from tickets and donations will be used to support Ukraine.

KINOWAR2025 is not just about unique films that the average viewer won't see, it's not just about fundraising - it's about a community highlighting the debate about the aggressive invasion in Ukraine and Russia's equally aggressive information and political interventions across Europe. It's a communication platform, it's a call to action to defend freedom of speech, democracy.

Accompanying programme - debates, meetings with documentary filmmakers, historians, analysts, Ukrainianists, journalists, presentation of Ukrainian brand producers, VR films.

All proceeds from admissions will be used to support Ukraine (through funds Tym4Ukraine, Air Force of Ukraine). The price of the tickets is divided according to the amount of contributions:
