Early 1990s, Vilnius. Lithuanian TV star Daiva loses her job overnight when Russian soldiers occupy the television station. Unable to drive the armed men out, she decides to go on a hunger strike. In a small trailer across from the occupied station, only a handful of people join her, and the soldiers couldn’t care less. It seems that the struggle to reclaim the television station is lost in a comically bleak clash of ambition, reality, and empty stomachs. But as hunger grows, the strikers realize what they are truly hungry for—human connection, warmth, and the feeling that they are not alone.
