Heidi - Rescue of the Lynx

A literary gem and one of the most iconic children's books, Heidi, Girl of the Mountains has been enchanting young readers for over 140 years and is now coming to theaters in animated form!

In the heart of the Swiss Alps, lively eight-year-old Heidi enjoys a carefree life with her slightly grumpy but loving grandfather, surrounded by green pastures and majestic mountain peaks. One day, Heidi rescues an injured lynx cub trapped in a trap set by the cunning industrialist Mr. Schnaittinger, and secretly nurses it back to health so it can return to the wild.

The cute cub soon recovers and begins to attract unwanted attention. This does not suit the evil Schnaittinger, who plans to build a giant sawmill that would threaten not only the lynx but the entire Alpine environment. Together with her faithful friend Peter and the devoted St. Bernard Josef, Heidi embarks on a daring nighttime expedition to return the cub to its family in the wild—before it's too late.
