Hamnet

When the constantly starving tutor William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) meets the wild free-thinker Agnes (Jessie Buckley), a proverbial love is born, during which they have three children. Because the family needs to be fed and William's dramatic talent needs to be satisfied, he spends most of his time in London building his dreams, while Agnes tries to secure the household and all three children, two daughters and a son, Hamnet, who longs to follow in his father's footsteps, in the seemingly idyllic English countryside. But misfortune has no mercy, and this was especially true in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. When an unspeakable tragedy befalls the family, it shakes even the seemingly indestructible relationship between William and Agnes.
