Olga, a woman in her fifties, lives in a meticulously tidy apartment in the heart of Mexico City, and aside from her noisy neighbors, she has everything firmly under control. That is, until circumstances force her to sublet a spare room. But her new roommate doesn’t arrive alone—he secretly brings along his nine-year-old son, Cristiano. At first, Olga reacts with resistance to the presence of this little intruder, but to her surprise, she gradually finds a way to connect with the boy. This unassuming festival gem by director Fernando Eimbcke reminds us that even the most unlikely encounters can transform our lives—perhaps thanks to a shared passion for arcade games.
