FAMU 80 – Best of

This programme of short films offers a representative cross-section of the work produced at the Prague Film School over the course of its 80-year history. The eight films aptly capture the diversity of student work: the selection includes feature films, documentaries and animated films, ranging from lesser-known works to those that have won international awards (including a Student Oscar), and spanning genres from pantomime farces and historical dramas to mockumentaries and animated fantasy. The festival version of the programme is English-friendly and includes the following films: Encounter (Vladimír Svitáček), The Loaf of Bread (Jan Němec), Oil Gobblers (Jan Svěrák), Closed Due to the Family Mourning (Saša Gedeon), Daughter (Daria Kashcheeva), Pripyat Piano (Eliška Cílková), Love Is Just a Death Away (Bára Anna) and 3MWh (Marie-Magdalena Kochová).
