Fascinated by the mysteries of the Silk Road, Ashley travels to Kyrgyzstan to fulfill her dream of galloping on horseback across the mystical steppes of Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan is a natural choice for this adventure, as the country is the cradle of equestrian art and attracts travellers with its charm and nomadic peoples. Ashley is accompanied by her partner Quentin. Together they acquire three stallions named Fidel, Chen and Chai, with whom they embark on a journey to the town of Karakol, more than 1,600 kilometres away on the eastern edge of Kyrgyzstan. Alone, the group must face the rigours of the vast steppe and cross high mountain passes, snow, deserts and rivers to reach their final destination. Through this documentary, they give us an insight into the way the ancestors viewed the world: man alongside the horse discovering the secrets of the eternal land.
