Dalai Lama – Ocean of Wisdom

The word “Dalai Lama” means “ocean of wisdom.” The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is not only Tibet’s most prominent spiritual leader but also one of the most influential figures in the world today. The documentary film OCEAN OF WISDOM compiles footage featuring the Dalai Lama from 1991 to 2022 and conveys his important, inspiring messages on secular ethics, non-religious spirituality, the cultivation of inner peace, loving-kindness, and educational reform with an emphasis on inner values, and working with the mind and emotions. The film also outlines the Dalai Lama’s life story, supplemented by his mother’s memories. The film’s visuals form a fresco depicting all of Tibet—its landscape and its people. We will see the most significant places, as well as unique and almost unknown rituals and celebrations.
