Middle-aged 'M' sees a suspicious-looking man at the airport. An exchange of glances and a few words set off a sequence of events, and fear and paranoia soon begin to creep into his otherwise simple life. In the maelstrom of the big city, M gradually succumbs to the conviction that he has recognised an oncoming evil that must be confronted.
