Big Water

DIRECTOR Anna Cyhym, Hanna Mamon

A screening and discussion of the film Big Water on the anniversary of the Explosion at the Kakhovka dam.

The documentary project was created to mark the anniversary of the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam. Its destruction is being investigated by the largest investigation team in Ukraine. To prove Russia's crime against the environment, employees of the State Environmental Inspectorate collect soil and water samples every day, sometimes working near the river, under fire from a Russian sniper from the occupied left bank.

The screening will be attended by:

Valentyna Nashko and Viktoria Loshkariova, the film's protagonists, who work at the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District in Kherson as well as filmmakers Anna Tsyhyma and Hanna Mamonova from the Public Interest Journalism Laboratory (The Reckoning Project), who document war crimes.

The event will be hosted by Iryna Romaliyska, journalist for Current Time TV.
