A Shaman's Tale

Alexander Gabyshev, a shaman from Yakutia, East Russia, had an epiphany. God has identified him as the warrior who is to drive the devil, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, out of the Kremlin. He's even willing to put his life on the line to get the job done. Alexander sets off by foot on a pilgrimage which attracts the attention of many people, including the police. In some of the most remote parts of Siberia, he discusses his ambitious plan with curious passers-by. The eight-thousand-kilometre expedition offers a mosaic of contemporary pro- and anti-Putin views and demonstrates the instability of a complex society.
