What happens when a Finnish architecture studio wins a competition to design an urban plan for a new city in a Nepalese valley? The euphoria of winning and the passion for the challenge is quickly replaced by a frustration at the clash between Western thinking and tradition-based Eastern culture. With Kathmandu and other large cities bursting at the seams due to urbanisation and endless migration, the Nepalese government has decided to build a new city for 600,000 people. The Finnish architects try to bring some order to the sprawling development in the valley which leads to some very humourous situations.
