And how does the mixing of old and new translate into personal life and social relationships? The film 1+1+1 seeks harmonious places of transition between the past and the future. It has stored its images on durable 16mm film, which seems outdated in an increasingly digital culture. In addition to actors and songs, the film features writers, philosophers, and intellectuals from all over Europe.
